“…and my Father is the gardener.”
In regards to those who want to plant vineyards, winerackshop.com gives this advice. “Growers need to properly evaluate and prepare their site well in advance of planting.”
I gave some thought to that statement as it relates to what Jesus said about God. His Father properly evaluated and prepared the site of our eternal resting and salvation well in advance of “planting” Christ as the True Vine.
From the beginning of time, God watched our world become a sin-cracked and broken creation. His eye was on the barren, dry land, unfit for any kind of planting. If Jesus is the True Vine and God is the Gardener, then God took the time to “prepare the soil”. Better known as humanity.
But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. Galatians 4:4God knew the exact moment to send Christ that would turn the world on its hinges and cause her to look up to Him. And here in John 15, Jesus makes sure we do just that. He points out that He is the vine and His Father is the Gardener. His Father is the one that holds us all in His hands. He turns the soil of our lives and ensures that our Vine will never die. He cannot. And He will not ever leave us to do anything on our own.

Before we begin to think of fruit or branches, let us have our heart filled with the faith that as glorious as the Vine is the Husbandman (gardener)…As surely as the Husbandman made the Vine what it was to be, will He make each branch what it is to be. Andrew Murray

I read this yesterday, and now again today before I left a comment. I wanted to read and reread to let this all sink in--asking God to take this message from my head to my heart.
And, as I reread this morning, I realized how God's timing is perfect in every thing in my life. Sometimes, I don't understand, don't know why..but He does, and His way is the good and perfect way!
